Forge a higher-quality Gem by combining three Gems of the same quality.

Collect three gems of the same quality from chests or defeated enemies.
Locate a Forge, found within any conquered Fortress.
Interact with the Forge to combine the three gems into a higher-quality gem.

Unlock 3 Gem slots.

Capture a Fortress to unlock access to a Forge.
Gather required materials like Iron, Mithril, or Dragon Steel.
Approach the Forge within your controlled Fortress.
Upgrade your gear until the third gem slot is unlocked.

Equip 3 Siege Upgrades on an Assault Team.

Capture a fort to unlock Siege mechanics.
Acquire three different siege upgrades.
Open the Assault Team management menu.
Select a single Assault Team.
Equip three different upgrades onto that team.

Complete a challenge to upgrade a piece of gear.

Conquer a fortress to establish a stronghold.
Locate the blacksmith within your stronghold.
Interact with the blacksmith to view available gear upgrade challenges.

Defeat a Warchief.

Locate an enemy-controlled stronghold like Akeldama or Seregost.
Infiltrate the stronghold by defeating the gate guards.
Locate and defeat a Warchief within the stronghold's territory.

Explore open-world regions like Gorgoroth, Nurn, or Seregost.
Locate a large Orc monument or statue.
Approach the monument and interact with it to destroy it.

Open one of the Ithildin Doors.

Explore the open world regions, particularly near cliffs and caves.
Look for glowing, silver Ithildin markings on rock faces.
Follow the path of the glowing markings.
Find and interact with the Ithildin Door at the end of the trail.

Complete an Online Vendetta.

Open the main menu.
Navigate to the 'Online' menu option.

Wait for a Vendetta notification to appear on your screen.

Collect high-tier gems like Diamonds or Rubies from chests or loot.
Capture a Fortress to unlock the Forge.
Gather high-level essences and materials.
Use the Forge to upgrade a gem to Perfect quality.

Issue a Death Threat, and then successfully kill the target.

Find an Orc Captain in any region.
Interact with the Captain and select 'Issue Death Threat'.
Locate the threatened Captain and kill them in combat.

Resurrect a Follower Captain.

Recruit a Captain to your army via intimidation or recruitment.
Enter a large-scale battle, such as a Siege or major skirmish.
Allow an enemy Uruk to kill your chosen Captain during combat.
Use Celebrimbor's Wraith power to resurrect the fallen Captain.

Disable an Outpost.

Locate an Orc Outpost on the world map.
Defeat the Outpost Captain and all garrisoned defenders.
Interact with the Outpost flag to claim the territory.

Turn all of a Warchief's bodyguards (minimum 2) into spies, then confront him.

Locate a Warchief and identify his bodyguards.
Use Intel on a bodyguard to find a weakness.
Use the 'Recruit' mechanic to turn them into a Spy.
Repeat this for a second bodyguard of the same Warchief.
Confront the Warchief once both bodyguards are spies.

Reach the rank of Captain in Online Conquest.

Access the Online Conquest mode from the main menu.
Play matches against other players' fortresses.
Earn experience by winning battles and completing objectives.
Continue playing until your Online Conquest rank reaches Captain.

Rescue a Follower who's been captured.

Scout enemy fortresses or camps for icons indicating a captured follower.
Infiltrate the identified stronghold using stealth or direct combat.
Locate the prisoner within the fortress cells or pits.
Defeat the guards and liberate the follower.

Better Luck Next Time

Meet an Enemy or a Follower who has cheated death.

Defeat an Orc Captain during a Siege.
Wait for a later mission or Siege to occur.
Locate the same Orc Captain in a new encounter.
Approach and interact with the returned Orc.

Shame an Assassin until he becomes deranged.

Locate an Assassin in any region.
Defeat the Assassin in combat.
Use the 'Shame' command on the defeated target.
Repeat the defeat and shame cycle until their status becomes 'Deranged'.

Start a Conquest with all Warchiefs as spies.

Recruit multiple Warchiefs through duels or sieges.
Use the 'Send to Spy' feature to assign Warchiefs to infiltrate fortresses.
Ensure every Warchief in your army is currently acting as a spy.
Access the Online Conquest menu and initiate a mission.

Send a Follower to support another Follower in a Nemesis Mission.

Recruit several powerful Orc followers.
Wait for a Nemesis Mission to appear on the map.
Select the mission details for an active Nemesis Mission.
Choose the option to send a Follower to assist another Orc.

Send a Follower to kill another Follower in a pit fight.

Recruit or capture several Orc followers.
Travel to a conquered Fortress.
Locate the Pit area within the Fortress.
Select a follower and an opponent from your army.
Ensure your chosen follower wins the fight.

Send a Destroyer on a Vendetta Mission.

Access the Online menu and wait for a Vendetta mission to become available.
Open the Army menu and locate an Orc with the Destroyer class.
Select the active Vendetta mission.
Assign your Destroyer Orc to participate in the mission.

If You Can't Beat Them

Recruit an Orc after he's killed you three or more times.

Find a high-level Captain or Warchief in a region like Gorgoroth or Seregost.
Engage the Orc in combat and allow him to kill you three separate times.
Defeat the same Orc in combat after his third kill without dying.
Use the Dominate ability to recruit the Orc into your army.

Recruit a Follower of every Advanced Class.

Locate Orcs with Advanced Class traits, such as Assassin, Berserker, Beastmaster, Marksman, and Shadow.
Recruit these Orcs to your army to fill each required class slot.
Use the Fortress menu to verify you have at least one follower for every available Advanced Class.

I Like to Watch

Watch a Follower murder another Captain without helping him.

Recruit a high-level Orc follower.
Locate an Orc Captain in a territory or during a siege.
Use the command menu to order your follower to attack the Captain.
Do not attack or use abilities to ensure the follower gets the kill.

Second Age Warrior

Complete all Shadow of the Past missions in one region.

Choose a single region, such as Gorgoroth or Seregost, to focus on.
Locate all 'Shadow of the Past' mission icons on the world map within that region.
Complete every 'Shadow of the Past' mission in your chosen area.
