PSN Tracker ("the app") is an independent trophy-tracking app for PlayStation gamers,
developed by Karya Boyraz. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is
used, and what choices you have. PSN Tracker is not affiliated with Sony Interactive
Entertainment or PlayStation.
Data We Collect
Information you provide
PSN Online ID. You enter your PlayStation Network ID in the app. This is required to fetch your public PSN data.
Information fetched from Sony's PlayStation Network
When you provide a PSN ID, we query Sony's public PSN API to fetch:
Online ID, avatar, and profile description
Trophy counts (platinum, gold, silver, bronze) and level
Games you have played and playtime, where exposed by Sony
Trophy earn dates
All of this data is the public information Sony exposes for your profile, subject to
your own PSN privacy settings. The app does not access private account information,
messages, friends lists, or billing data.
What we do not collect
Email address, phone number, or real name
Location data or IP-based location inference
Advertising identifiers or device identifiers
Third-party analytics or crash reporting
Any personal identifier beyond the PSN ID you choose to provide
How We Use Your Data
Display in the app. Your PSN data is shown to you inside the app.
Caching on our server. Fetched data is temporarily cached to reduce load on Sony's API and make the app responsive. Cached data can be deleted on request (see "Your Rights" below).
Operational notifications to the developer. When a previously-unseen PSN ID is looked up for the first time, a lightweight notification is sent to the developer via Telegram containing only: the PSN ID, level, and platinum count. This is used to monitor new users and diagnose abuse or API issues. It is not shared with anyone else.
The app does not show ads, sell your data, or share data with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers.
Anonymous Usage Statistics
To understand which features are actually used and improve the app, PSN Tracker collects
anonymous, first-party usage statistics — for example which screens you
open, which features you tap (notes, checklist, filters, guides, collections), and how
long a session lasts. This data:
is tied only to a random per-install identifier — never your PSN ID, name, email, IP address, or any advertising/device identifier;
is sent only to our own server (no third-party analytics SDK or provider);
is never sold or shared with anyone;
can be turned off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage stats.
Third-Party Services
Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation Network). All trophy and profile data is fetched from Sony's APIs. Sony's own privacy policy applies to data you have made visible on PSN.
Apple (App Store). App distribution and any future in-app purchases go through Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs those interactions.
Telegram. Used only to deliver the operational notifications described above to the developer. No end-user content is shared with Telegram beyond the PSN ID / level / platinum count of new lookups.
Data Retention
On your device: Your PSN ID is stored locally so the app can reload your profile on launch. Uninstalling the app removes it.
On our server: Cached trophy data is retained to improve performance. You may request deletion of all server-side cache for your PSN ID at any time.
Your Rights
You may request:
A copy of any data held on our server for your PSN ID
Deletion of cached data associated with your PSN ID
Requests can be submitted through the App Store support channel for PSN Tracker. We
will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's Privacy
PSN Tracker is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect data from
children under 13. If you believe a child has provided a PSN ID, contact us and we will
remove the associated cache.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. Material updates will be reflected in
the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
